US presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama have returned to the campaign trail one day after their second televised debate.
The Republican hopeful, McCain, tried to attack his Democratic rival but general opinion showed neither candidate gained a big advantage at the Nashville, Tennessee "town hall" meeting. Turmoil on the financial markets seem to be benefiting Obama. The most recent opinion polls reveal that respondents have more confidence in the Democrat Obama to handle the financial crisis than the Republican McCain. A CNN poll showed Obama with an overall lead of eight percent.
