Two blasts have occurred near Baghdad's Green Zone where US envoy John Negroponte was preparing to speak to journalists about his visit to Iraq.
One report said two mortar bombs had fallen close to the foreign ministry, injuring five civilians and setting several cars on fire.
Another said the blasts were caused by bombs attached to two cars.
