Pope praises Australia for apology to Aborigines ... have been injured in an incident which forced a passenger plane to make an emergency landing in Western Australia, police have said.
Police spokesman Greg Lambert said the Airbus A320, with more than 300 people on board, landed at Learmonth Airport in Exmouth after making a mayday call.
"The nature of the mid-air incident is unknown," he told The Australian.
Emergency services and medical staff are currently on the runway helping passengers, local media reports say.
Australia's national carrier, Qantas, could not immediately say whether the incident involved one of its aircraft.
