Korean president calls for new talks ... Korean state media is reporting that the country's leader Kim Jong Il has appeared in public for the first time in over a month. Officials say the 66-year old attended a student football match in the capital Pyongyang. It is unclear on what day that football match was held. There has been widespread speculation about the state of health of the communist leader but the North has continally denied claims by South Korea that Kim has suffered a stroke. North Korea has recently backtracked on a deal to close down its nuclear facilities, after the US refused to remove the country from its terrorist black list.
