Austrians are set go to the polls in an early general election.
The election was called after the left-right "grand" coalition broke up after only 18 months in government. The latest opinion polls have shown the Social Democrats slightly ahead with 26-29 percent of votes, compared to the conservative People's Party with 25-27 percent.
