A German man who was kidnapped in Kabul almost two weeks ago has been freed.
A spokesman for Afghanistan's intelligence agency said the man, who is a dual Afghan-German citizen was rescued from a house in the northern province of Parwan during a raid. Three men accused of abducting the man have been arrested. The kidnappers are said to have been seeking a large ransom in return for his release.
