The remaining troops will be moved to Afghanistan during August. The 200 members of the contingent will stay there for six months, Plescher said. "Their main tasks will be the support to the central government in Logar, cooperation with the Afghan armed and security forces in the province, implementation of reconstruction and humanitarian projects, monitoring and assessment of the security situation and protection of the base," Plescher said. The contingent is composed of the military and civilian parts.
