Overshadowing their talks has been fresh fighting between Sri Lanka's army and Tamil rebels and multiple tensions between India, Pakistan and the Afghan government. The Colombo summit of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation or SAARC, is expected to conclude with an agreement on tackling terrorism, including ways to suppress funds used by alleged terrorists. They're also considering a plan to create a regional food bank to assist populations hit by rising prices. On the summit sideline, bilateral talks have also taken place between Pakistani premier Yousef Raza Gilani and India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
