Turkey's interior minister says several suspects have been arrested in connection with a bomb attack which killed 17 people and wounded more than 150 others in Istanbul last week.

Turkey reach quarter-final ... packed Istanbul square last Sunday. Officials had already said they suspected the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) guerrilla group was behind the attack. The PKK has denied involvement. The group has been fighting for an ethnic homeland in southeastern Turkey since 1984. Turkey, the US and the European Union consider the PKK to be a terrorist organisation.
