The IOC said on Wednesday journalists would get access to Internet sites deemed essential to report on the games, stepping back from a pledge of full, unfettered Internet access. Gosper said he was "disappointed" that the Chinese authorities were blocking sensitive websites, but that the IOC cannot tell China what to do. Two weeks ago, IOC President Jacques Rogge said there would be no censorship of the Internet during the August 8-24 Games.
