Culture Minister Vaclav Jehlicka counts with the launch of the construction in 2013 only. Jehlicka plans the reconstruction and development of five state cultural institutions for a total of 10 billion crowns, which is more than one-year budget of the ministry, by 2017. The government approved the programme in 2006 and it was to continue until 2014. Jehlicka has now extended it by three years. The programme also includes the reconstruction of the main building of the National Museum in Prague and of the former building of the Federal Assembly (parliament) for the museum. Jehlicka also wants to reconstruct NK's Klementinum seat, a baroque building, but the NK management says this is not sufficient and insists on a new building being built. The Museum of Applied Arts from the early 20th century is completely full. That is why it is to get a new depository in Prague-Stodulky. The construction will start in 2012 and the historical building is to be reconstructed. The National Technical Museum at Prague-Letna is already being repaired.
