The Health Ministry will carry out audits in LDNs at teaching hospitals.
"The nurse bears full responsibility for care but to provide quality services she needs the conditions that are often absent," Juraskova said.
She said the owners and the operators were responsible for the personnel, material and technical equipment of LDNs.
"However, I accuse nurses of not often making it clear that they lack conditions for their work," Juraskova said.
According to the Institute of Medical Information and Statistics, there are more than 80,000 nurses in the Czech Republic, including 42,000 working in primary care, more than 4000 in subsequent care, 2000 in independent LDNs, 1700 in LDNs that are parts of hospitals and more than 170 in hospices.
According to the Health Ministry, the shortage of nurses last year reached 700, while this year's statistics is lacking.
