Italian Riccardo Ricco has become the third rider to be tested positive for the banned blood-boosting drug EPO at this year's Tour de France.
The 24-year-old won two mountain stages and was sitting ninth in the overall standings. Following the announcement of Ricco's positive test his team, Saunier Duval, decided to withdraw from the Tour.
