ASEAN says it will send mission to Burma ... The top prosecutor at the International Criminal Court plans to seek arrest warrants against top Sudanese officials, possibly even the president, on charges of genocide and crimes against humanity in Darfur.
In a statement on Thursday, the prosecution said Luis Moreno-Ocampo would ask a three-judge panel to approve the arrests on Monday. Sudan has said any such move could undermine the peace process in Darfur, and aid officials fear restrictions on relief work there. International experts say at least 200,000 people have died and 2.5 million have been displaced since a rebellion broke out in 2003.
