Georgia demands Russia reversal ... with President Mikheil Saakashvili. Moscow said the it sent the fighter sorties over the Georgian territory of South Ossetia to prevent a Georgian attack on separatists there. Russia and Georgia have been at odds over the two regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Rice urged Moscow to work to ease tensions in the regions, not add to them. She said, however, that all sides must put a stop to violence in the breakaway regions.
