Militia in Sudan's province of Dafur have ambushed peacekeepers, killing at least one.
The joint United Nations/ African Union mission, UNAMID, said 19 of its staff were injured in the attack, with three in a critical condition. UNAMID spokesperson Shereen Zorba said the peacekeepers were on a routine patrol in Sudan's north when they were ambushed by around 30 vehicles containing gunmen. The attackers are suspected of being Janjaweed militia.
