Leaders of the world's industrialised nations -- Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, Russia and the United States -- are to be joined this year by those of some 15 other countries including China, India, Brazil, South Korea and Australia. The meeting has begun with an outreach session attended by several African leaders. It's devoted to plans for boosting aid to impoverished countries on the continent.
