My personal thoughts are that a (Welsh) colleague in my office has promised to stand and sing the Welsh national anthem. This can only be a good thing.
1145: Lots of chat in today's newspapers about Cardiff opting to travel to London... on the train! The players - including Robbie Fowler and Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink - had to carry their own bags! According to a club spokesman: "The journey took about 90 minutes and they loved it." I bet they had a good wash afterwards though.

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp will have David James and Sol Campbell available today so all he's got to decide is whether to go 4-4-2 with Milan Baros and Kanu or leave the Nigerian striker on his own up front. Paul Parry is likely to return for Cardiff in place of Trevor Sinclair in the only change from the team that beat Barnsley in the semis.
1123: "My brother has been wanting a Pompey/Cardiff draw in every round so far since his girlfriend and her family are huge Cardiff fans and we're all Pompey fans! Who'd have thought we'd clash in the final!? So good luck to both teams (except Cardiff!)"

1115: Of course the man and his bell to which I refer is John Anthony Portsmouth Football Club Westwood. He's the one with all the tattoos who never wears a shirt. And apparently, he and his band won't be allowed at Wembley.
1108: I'm just looking at pictures of Wembley Way now. Plenty of Pompey fans milling about on an overcast day in the capital. They might need their flags to keep 'em warm. No sign of that man and his blessed bell yet.
