Four days after China's earthquake, foreign rescue teams from Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan have arrived in Sichuan province.
Its regional government says Monday's quake left nearly five million survivors homeless. The confirmed death toll stands at 22,000 with thousands more still missing and losses estimated at 50,000. On Friday at least 17 survivors were dug out of rubble by Chinese troops and emergency workers, some after amputations. Damage to dams and landslides in rivers pose new threats.
