The comprehensive medical check-up fee is fixed at about 1000 crowns, the paper writes. "There is no reason for us all to cover these expenses in the form of insurance payments," ministry spokesman Tomas Cikrt told the paper. However, according to Jaroslav Mil, president of the Czech Confederation of Industry, it is only another Largest number of children since 1993 born in CzechRep last year ...

burden for entrepreneurs. He says the state should participate in the covering of the costs of regular medical examinations or provide reliefs to the companies in question by lowering their insurance payments. None of the companies concerned is planning to transfer the possible additional expenses on to their employees, according to the answers they gave to Hospodarske noviny. It is almost impossible to anticipate what support the bill could gain in the Chamber of Deputies. It is only certain that of the three ruling parties the junior government Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL) would not support it, the paper says. It writes that Czech companies could save the money they are to spend on regular comprehensive medical check ups of their employees according to the bill by investing in the improvement of "risky" work environment. There is no such notion as "risky profession" in western countries, the daily says. ($1=16.166 Czech crowns)
