While at present health insurance companies cover the costs of regular medical examinations of employees of certain professions entailing risk for their health the Health Ministry wants the companies alone to bear the expenses, the paper says. The ministry's proposal could concern some 400,000 people.
The comprehensive medical check-up fee is fixed at about 1000 crowns, the paper writes. "There is no reason for us all to cover these expenses in the form of insurance payments," ministry spokesman Tomas Cikrt told the paper.
