Jung: Germany Remains Vital to NATO's Afghan Mission ... tightening rules regulating lobbyists who try to influence EU institutions. Lobbyists will be asked to disclose basic information about their money and motives in a public register.
The bill also calls for a code of conduct and sanctions for those who flaunt it. Until now the European Parliament has had a voluntary register for lobbyists, but this has not applied to the EU's executive, the European Commission, or the council which brings together the EU's national leaders.
