Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe is reportedly ready to contest a run-off vote and would accept the result.
That's according to Senegal's Foreign Minister Tidiane Gadio after a meeting with Mugabe on Thursday in Harare. In Gadio's statement, Mugabe urged the opposition Movement for Democratic Change to also accept a run-off. Zimbabwe's electoral commission told a closed-door meeting on Thursday that MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai won nearly 48 percent of the March 29 poll and Mugabe 43 percent.
