The military did not issue any entrance permit for them, he said. Ministry spokesman Andrej Cirtek said the protesters have committed an unlawful act. "The Defence Ministry has nothing against political meetings if held outside the military district," Cirtek told CTK. He said the ministry will negotiate with the protesters in "a way depending on what approach they show," Cirtek said. Greenpeace anti-radar campaign head Martin Kloubek told CTK he does not know how long the activists will stay on the planned radar site, situated near the Misov village. He did not rule out that the protest might last even a couple weeks. Greenpeace mountaineers climbed trees at the site to fix up a giant banner. Kloubek said the protest is not violent. The participants have not chained themselves to trees, he added. The activists want to provide more information on their Brdy Without Radar campaign at the spot height 718 at a press conference at noon. Earlier this month, Greenpeace protested against the U.S. radar project, part of the U.S. missile-defence shield, outside the Government Office. A week ago, participants in a protest march, organised by the junior opposition Communists (KSCM), wanted to reach the spot height 718 but the military banned this saying the military district is designed for soldiers' training, not for political meetings.
