Chinese state media is reporting that a train accident in the country's east has killed 43 people and injured 247.

BBC website 'unblocked in China' ... travelling from Beijing derailed and hit another train shortly before dawn in Shandong province. News photos showed the derailed train laying at the bottom of a ditch, with rescuers removing passengers from a carriage that had fallen onto its side.
