At least 12 people have been killed and 30 wounded by a bomb on a crowded bus near Sri Lanka's capital Colombo.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but the authorities have blamed the rebel group Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. The Tamil Tigers, who are fighting for independence in the island's north-east have been blamed for similar attacks in the past. They are listed as a terror group by the United States, the European Union and India.
