Top Afghan militant reported dead ... in the wake of a spying scandal. But the head of the agency, Ernst Uhrlau, looks like he'll be staying in his position.
The BND admitted spying on a German journalist last year by monitoring her emails with an Afghan politician. A parliamentary committee hearing testimony from the case stopped short of calling for Uhrlau's resignation. The journalists employer, German news weekly "Der Spiegel", also says it is considering legal action against the BND.
