Cunek was several times criticised in connection with the Romany issue in the past, both by human rights protectors and political partners, particularly the Greens. "We are not closed to any suggestions and solution proposals," Stehlikova told CTK. Cunek wants the government to accept his idea and he says European money should then be distributed according to it. He said, however, the work on the project was interrupted by his five-month absence from the Local Development Ministry after he resigned last November when his bribery suspicion case was reopened. He returned to government only in early April.
