Gunmen have kidnapped 42 university students near the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
Security spokesman Brigadier General Khalid Abdul-Sattar said those kidnapped were students from Mosul University.
The students were abducted while travelling on a bus. Another bus carrying students managed to escape.
