The house owners demand up to 50 billion crowns from the country to compensate the difference between the regulated and market levels of rents. Schorm stated that the complainants seriously misinterpret the data about the accounting of their houses and presented questionable warrants of attorney. He points out that the owners voluntarily gained their property with burdens. Schorm also challenges the total number of 4800 complaints by Czech house owners. The Strasbourg court asked the Czech government to answer nine sets of questions on rent regulation.

Schorm asks the court in the draft reply to consider all four complaints which the court deals with as pilot ones unacceptable. Schorm also claims that the situation in the Czech Republic is different from Poland. Czech house owners consider a Strasbourg court decision confirming the compensation demands of a Polish house owner to be a precedent.
